Meet Berlage B.V. adheres to the Seats2meet.com Terms and Conditions and adds additional Terms and Conditions to govern items specific to our location. Booking a meeting space or workspace with Meet Berlage automatically means you accept both the Seats2meet.com Terms and Conditions and the Additional Terms and Conditions outlined below.
1.Conclusion of an agreement
Meet Berlage may always, for any reason whatsoever and without giving a reason, reject the conclusion of an agreement. Bookings and events to be held in the building must never violate the monumental status of character of the Beurs van Berlage (i.e. the building in which Meet Berlage is established) and the interests and the image/good name of Meet Berlage (this to the exclusive opinion of Meet Berlage).
2.Agreement Validity
Agreements made with Meet Berlage are binding if they are either agreed to by way of a signature on a valid offer or by way of an email originating from a company mail address (e.g., *@company-url.com), stating that the offer is accepted. We consider it the explicit obligation of the company in question, rather than Meet Berlage, to ensure that only authorized individuals make agreements on behalf of the company via the company’s email address.
3.Prepayment Requirement
In contrast to the terms stated in the Seats2meet.com Terms and Conditions under items 8.2 and 8.3, booker may be required to prepay up to 100% of the total invoice by a deposit invoice disregardless of the amount of the booking. When a deposit invoice is not paid in time, Meet Berlage may cancel the booking.
4.Room Changes
Meet Berlage is entitled to change a booking to a different meeting room if the need arises or if another request requires the originally booked room. If the new meeting room is more expensive, the extra charge will NOT be passed on to the booker. If the new meeting room is less expensive, the difference will be credited to the booker.
5.Changes and Cancellations
Contrary to item 4.1 of the Seats2meet.com Terms and Conditions, Meet Berlage applies the following policy:
* Room rental changes or cancellations must be made at least 5 days prior to the booking date.
* Food & beverage orders must be changed or canceled at least 7 days prior to the booking date.
* If the booking exceeds €8,000, a separate agreement must be made between the booker and the venue.
6.Use of the rented spaces
The Client must at all times comply with instructions from the staff of Meet Berlage regarding the use of the rented space or spaces. If the Client wishes to arrange the rented space differently than as offered, a detailed floor plan must be submitted to Meet Berlage for approval no later than three weeks before the start of the event. If conditions are imposed due to fire regulations, all costs incurred as a result will be for the account of the Client. In the event that the Client arranges the space differently than this detailed floor plan, Meet Berlage is entitled to cancel the event, without any obligation to pay compensation. Nailing, drilling, sticking or fixing/stapling in, on or to the building is prohibited at all times, unless MeetBerlage grants written permission for this and approves the fixing material to be used in advance. The emergency exits provided in the building must not be obstructed, and fire extinguishing equipment must remain accessible at all times. The presence or use of open flames, fireworks, gas cylinders, confetti, balloons, rice and other sprinkling materials is prohibited at all times, unless express written permission for this has been granted by MeetBerlage and additional safety measures have been taken.
7.Applicable law
Dutch law is exclusively applicable to agreements. In case of disputes between Meet Berlageand a customer the competent court in the place of establishment of Meet Ber;age is exclusively competent, unless mandatory statutory provisions designate a different competent court and without prejudice to the authority of Meet Berlage to have the dispute settled by the court that would have been competent failing this clause.
